2021 Pantones of the Year… It’s a Vibe

Coming off a year of such uncertainty Pantone has chosen two colors that not only insert a ray of hope but also show stability and versatility to all. Say hello to PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating (it’s a bright yellow 😊).

Pantone goes on to state, 

“Emboldening the spirit, the pairing of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 highlights our innate need to be seen, to be visible, to be recognized, to have our voices heard. A combination of color whose ties to insight, innovation and intuition, and respect for wisdom, experience, and intelligence inspires regeneration, pressing us forward toward new ways of thinking and concepts.” (Pantone Color of the Year 2021)

At first thought it seems to be an unlikely pair but after seeing the two colors side by side it does begin to cultivate a peculiar feeling of stability and a playfulness that we’ve been longing for.
